End of term

Well, we are all excited because the holidays are nearly here!

There are heaps of things that we would all like to do over the next two weeks.....sleepovers, swimming, white baiting, Pokemon hunting,  out for meals,  going out with our cousins, movies and trips to the scooter and bike park.

Luke will be celebrating a birthday during the holidays ....have a fabulous day Luke!

Some of us are going away for a holiday with our parents or grandparents.

We know that whatever we do we will have a fun time and look forward to coming back and sharing our holiday news with everyone.

Thank you to everyone that has followed us this term on our blog.
We hope that you have enjoyed reading about our learning...and the fun that we have along the way.

Enjoy your holidays...take care, have fun and we hope that the sun will be kind to us during the next two weeks so that we can play outside.

Week 8

It is hard to believe that we have only one week left of term!!
This term has just whizzed by.

With all the learning that we have been doing about the birds that have come to visit our bird table, we thought it was time to go to the Museum to the Bird Hall.

Oh my goodness...there were heaps of birds there.

We learnt that the person that stuffs the birds when they are dead is called a taxidermist. They all looked so real and that is because they are real.

We all had a clip board to carry around with us. It had a lot of questions on it that we had to find the answers to.

Discussing a few things before we started....

Mmm...where will we find the answer to that question?

Listening to the sound of the kiwi

Can you please help me?

Checking our answers...
When we came out of the Museum we all went over to look at  the Peacock Fountain .

Then we saw this amazingly huge conifer tree....we all ran over to it and went inside...it was like going into  a house.

It was a fantastic tree for climbing...

The team!!

Do you like noodles?
Most of us do so today for cooking we cooked noodles.

They were very easy to cook so we all think  that we will be able to cook them at home with a little bit of help from an adult.

Enjoy your weekend!!!

Kia Ora

Wow! What a change in the weather!!

We all rushed to the window yesterday to watch the hail falling from the sky to dance on the grass and ground.
Some of us didn't really like the noise that it was making but it didn't last for to long.

Do you remember when we made those birds a few weeks back?

We really enjoyed making them and asked if we could do that again so guess what we did this week?
Yes we had an afternoon of making something of our choice.

We had numerous books to choose from...all we had to do was to follow the instructions and make what we had chosen.

We all got busy...in fact so busy that the room was very quiet!!!

Look at that concentration....

It was time for Aaron's choice for cooking.  He chose pizza.

We prepared all the ingredients and then made our own pizzas and cooked them in the oven.

The onion was chopped with an alligator! It was very cool!

Grating the cheese....

Chopping the pineapple....

Now for slicing the tomato....

Cutting up the ham....

Now to eat what we made! Delicious!!!

Keep warm everyone and enjoy your weekend!
